About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all financial, budgetary, and purchasing functions. The CFO will be responsible for budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, fund accounting, investments, procurements, and related fiscal activities to ensure the organization's goals are met. This role requires a strong leader with experience in senior management, particularly in a governmental environment, and a focus on designing and implementing fiscal procedures to maintain efficient, compliant, and effective financial operations. The CFO will work closely with the President/CEO and department heads to develop financial strategies, annual budget plans, and fiscal procedures that enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the company's financial operations. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within governmental or public finance administration. A CPA license and/or CGFO certification is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in collaborative environments, knowledge of governmental accounting and financial practices, and the ability to manage a wide range of fiscal procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. The CFO will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all financial, budgetary, audit, and reporting requirements at the county, state, and federal levels.
