Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference each day by assisting students and supporting education as a skilled Paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Daly City, CA. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with teachers, helping to deliver classroom instruction and provide individualized attention to students.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young adults in an educational or care setting
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and students
- Ability to provide academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help students succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework in education or related fields preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school procedures
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in day-to-day classroom activities, supporting both group and one-on-one instruction
- Work with students who require additional support to reinforce lessons and encourage progress
- Help maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment
- Contribute to the preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization
- Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, and special events
- Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed by teaching staff
