A per diem pharmacist position is available to provide coverage at a health clinic pharmacy serving a vulnerable patient population in San Mateo, CA. This role focuses on delivering compassionate, patient-centered retail pharmacy services while supervising pharmacy technicians in a clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties, including verifying prescriptions and counseling patients
• Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Provide attentive and respectful care to a diverse, vulnerable patient population
• Use the New Leaf system to manage pharmacy operations accurately
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinic-specific protocols

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active California pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage workflow in a busy clinical pharmacy setting
• Open-mindedness and patience when working with medically vulnerable patients
• Familiarity with pharmacy technology and electronic record systems (specifically New Leaf)
• Comfortable commuting via public transit, especially by train or BART

Schedule and Location:

• Per diem role with upcoming coverage needs on:• Friday, March 6th, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM• Thursday, March 19th, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM• Wednesday, April 8th, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Location: San Mateo, CA – clinic parking is extremely limited; taking public transit is highly recommended (no parking reimbursement provided)
