Ambulance Dispatcher, Emergency Communications Specialist [Remote]

Role Overview

Apply ambulance and emergency dispatch expertise to help train next-generation AI systems for emergency response communications. You will use protocol-driven judgment to assess and route urgent requests in real time, supporting effective, timely resource allocation. No prior AI experience is required, your emergency communications knowledge is the focus of this engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and triage emergency requests through radio, phone, and chat, using standardized protocols and checklists to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Prioritize simultaneous requests, assess each situation''s urgency and nature, and allocate resources appropriately in real time.
• Document inbound communications and dispatch decisions clearly and accurately.
• Route information and dispatch instructions to the appropriate responders while following established operating procedures.
• Manage multiple inbound and outbound communication streams without losing attention to detail.
• Contribute subject-matter expertise to define data-quality standards and assess protocol effectiveness for AI training.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions that improve the realism and accuracy of emergency communications simulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in ambulance or emergency dispatch operations, including incident triage and prioritization.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed during high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills across radio, phone, and chat.
• Experience managing multiple communication channels simultaneously.
• Proficiency with standardized decision-making protocols and checklists.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to complete, accurate documentation.
• Dispatcher or coordinator experience is highly valued. Formal certification is not required.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

Compensation

$30 to $55 per hour.
