Sterile Processing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our Surgical Services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of surgical instruments and materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments.
• Assemble and wrap sterile instruments and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required.
• May be assigned to different locations as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Experience with Level 1 Trauma cases is required.
• Familiarity with Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and GYN cases preferred.
• National certifications such as CBSPD and/or HSPA are required.
• BLS certification is not required.

Work Schedule

This position requires a shift of 5x8 hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with holiday rotation and may include weekend rotation.

Additional Information

Employees may be required to participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application, and no requests will be approved after the contract is signed.

Guaranteed hours are subject to departmental needs, with the facility allowed to cancel one shift every two weeks.

Parking is available only during nights and weekends, requiring a one-time payment for a parking pass.
