Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting, finance, and financial operations across the organization.
• Prepare and review accurate monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Provide strategic financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and performance insights.
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen processes, controls, and technology-enabled workflows.
• Provide high-level oversight of HR-related activities and organizational administration.
• Communicate financial results, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong accounting and finance leadership experience, preferably within insurance or a related financial services environment.
• Demonstrated experience preparing monthly financials, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience identifying and overseeing automation opportunities within finance or business operations.
• Strong technology skills and the ability to evaluate financial systems and process improvements.
• Ability to provide effective high-level oversight of HR and administrative functions.
• Willingness and ability to work on site in Torrington, Connecticut.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in the insurance industry or another regulated financial services sector.
• Background implementing accounting, reporting, or workflow automation systems.
• Experience supporting HR operations, compliance, or organizational development.
