Personal Injury Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its practice in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to advocating for injured clients with professionalism and integrity, thriving in a high-standard environment, and eager to excel as a second-chair attorney with the potential to develop into a first-chair trial lawyer. Duties Manage personal injury cases through all phases of litigation Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery Take and defend depositions Prepare for and argue hearings Attend mediations and settlement conferences Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy Work directly with clients throughout the litigation process Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff Prepare and participate in trial Requirements 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury litigation Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills Strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities Experience managing an active litigation docket Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail A strong work ethic, professionalism, and sound judgment Graduation in the top 50% of a Tier 1 or Tier 2 law school, or the top 25% of a Tier 3 or Tier 4 law school Spanish fluency is a plus Education Juris Doctor degree Certifications Licensed to practice law in Texas Skills Legal research and writing Oral advocacy Negotiation Organizational skills Attention to detail Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer matching Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Paid Continuing Legal Education (CLEs) Professional membership dues Long-term opportunities for professional growth and advancement #J-18808-Ljbffr
