Assistant Commercial Property Manager

Job Summary The Assistant Property Manager will assist with the overall management of a commercial real estate portfolio in accordance with company and client directives. The Assistant Property Manager is involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations of the property, including accounting, tenant relations, maintenance and repair oversight, vendor management, RFPs, etc. The position will report to the Managing Director. Responsibilities and Duties General Manage tenant relations Conduct periodic property inspections Assist with day to day operations / emergency management Abstract commercial leases Review monthly and annual financial reports assist with preparation of annual budgets Assist accounting with questions related to the property and resolution of vendor issues. Obtain estimates/bids for repairs at the property. Generate and track Service Orders, approvals and distribution. Supervise and coordinate vendors and maintenance. Admin Ensure and maintain proper record keeping (Insurance, Leases, Contracts, etc.) Coordinate tenant move-ins/outs. Sort, code and ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts of all property related invoices. Become proficient with the AppFolio property management software. Assist with development and implementation of property management plans in accordance with client directives Scope of Responsibility and Authority These responsibilities include being on-call 24/7, managing and delegating maintenance staff and contractors. Qualifications and Skills Strong working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel 3+ years of experience with Retail, Office or industrial assets Familiarity with AppFolio a plus Effectively prioritize and multi-task Excellent people skills Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with peers, managers and clients Dependable & flexible as well as possessing the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality #J-18808-Ljbffr
