Commercial Finance & Operations Analysis ManagerThe Commercial & Operations Analysis Manager connects what our client bids to what they deliver. Reporting to the Director, Commercial & Operational Analysis, this position will build competitive, data-backed pricing for new business, track how awarded business performs against its bid economics, and give senior leadership clear, real-time visibility into operational health. The position will work closely with Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Finance to help our client win and grow profitable business.Job DutiesDeliver regular reporting to senior leadership on how recently awarded business performs against its original bid economics, including revenue, cost per unit, margin, and volumeIdentify variances early, diagnose root causes, and recommend pricing, operational, or contractual actions to close gapsAssist with margin expansion across the business through actionable analysis of operational performancePartner with Sales and Account Management to respond to OEM and dealer group RFPs, bids, and spot rate requests with accurate, competitive pricingBuild and maintain pricing models that reflect lane economics, capacity, carrier and contractor costs, fuel, and market conditionsTranslate bid assumptions into clear, defensible recommendations that balance win rate with profitabilityDesign and maintain reporting frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into operational healthEstablish consistent metric definitions and data standards so leaders across Sales, Operations, and Finance work from a single source of truthBuild financial models for ad hoc projects to support senior leadership decision making on business operationsAutomate recurring reporting and continuously improve data quality, accuracy, and turnaround timeOther duties as assignedSkills RequiredStrong financial acumen, including margin, cost-to-serve, and unit economicsStrong analytical, modeling, and problem solving skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI or TableauAbility to present complex analysis clearly and confidently to senior leadershipAbility to communicate effectively at all levels of the organizationHighly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesAbility to succeed in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet deadlinesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a related fieldAt least five (5) years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or operational financeExperience working with and building financial models to support business decisions, such as RFP pricing, margin analysis, or other operational business investmentsSolid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), including P&L structureExperience in accounting, FP&A, or a related finance functionExperience in transportation, logistics, or automotive preferredSQL or other data querying skills preferredExperience with TMS or ERP data, such as NetSuite, preferredPrior experience leading or mentoring analysts preferredLocation: Plymouth, MIOur client is proud to offer our full-time employees best-in-class benefits designed to support their health, well-being, and financial security.
