Mid-Level Tax Associate Attorney – Dallas, TX

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Tax Associate to join a leading national Am 100 law firm in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong tax experience to contribute to a highly regarded Business practice group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on mergers and acquisitions, including drafting and negotiating tax provisions in stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, partnership and joint venture agreements, and loan agreements.

• Provide guidance on cross-border tax structuring and international tax issues (inbound and outbound).

• Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and client service.

• Contribute to the firm’s commitment to community involvement and client-focused representation.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of big law firm experience in tax law, with a focus on M&A transactions.

• Exceptional academic background and excellent legal writing skills.

• Licensed (or eligible to become licensed) to practice law in Texas.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface directly with clients.

• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines.

• Experience with international tax issues preferred.

• Compensation: $250,000 - $400,000 DOE

This position is based in Dallas, TX. Candidates must reside in the Dallas area at or prior to the time of hire.
