Auto Body Technician

• Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process • Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status • Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status • Decide whether to repair or replace components based on safety, cost, and cycle time • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access vehicles and fenders • Participate in required safety meetings • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools • Direct an apprentice when needed and explain procedures Requirements Ability to use frame machine Certification in body repair preferred Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer I-CAR welding certified Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data Ability to supervise repair personnel Must be able to pass thorough background check Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in vehicle repair processes, including the ability to analyze measuring data and make informed decisions on component repair or replacement.
