- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and design personalized therapy strategies to help them reach their functional objectives
- Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Apply evidence-based techniques to improve motor skills, cognitive functions, and everyday living activities for your patients
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside other OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to ensure comprehensive, patient-centric care
- Guide Patients and Caregivers: Provide education to patients and their families about therapeutic techniques to promote ongoing success at home
- Assess Progress and Document Outcomes: Monitor patient development and modify treatment plans as needed to keep them on track for recovery
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Encouragement and support for ongoing education and specialty certifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification essential
- A heartfelt passion and drive to assist others in achieving their utmost independence
- Compassionate and clear communication skills, both with patients and colleagues
