Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech III - IP

Job Description Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ultrasound exams, following established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report each examination. Verify patient identity, provide education, and observe patients during procedures to ensure safety and cooperation. Complete clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, recording all information accurately and promptly, and report critical results in accordance with policy. Communicate clearly with physicians, patients, and other center personnel, maintaining a pleasant and informative manner. Show motivation, enthusiasm, and personal accountability; engage in problem‑solving and mentorship of colleagues. Maintain a clean, orderly work area and ensure all equipment is disinfected according to infection control policies. Identify learning needs, attend in‑service and departmental meetings, and seek to increase proficiency in testing and laboratory procedures. Echo Sonographer III: Includes skills of Sonographer levels 1 and 2, proficiency in protocol‑directed and research protocols. Demonstrate leadership by taking initiative, maintaining a positive attitude, and contributing to quality improvement (QI) initiatives. Maintain professional membership in ASE, attend echo conferences, and provide educational activities and presentations. Complete CVT PACT training. Qualifications Registry through CCI or ARDMS. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Registered Sonographer with the level required for an Echo Sonographer III. Excellent interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication, and basic computer proficiency.
