Logistics Coordinator

JRS Pharma LP is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Logistics Coordinator to join our U.S. Patterson, NY team as a key contributor to our logistics and supply chain operations. This role plays an important part in supporting the timely, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and products while helping ensure a high level of service to both internal and external customers.

The Part-Time Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate shipping and logistics documentation, monitoring order and delivery status, and supporting day-to-day transportation and distribution activities. Working collaboratively with Customer Service, Warehouse, Production, Planning, Quality, and external transportation partners, this position helps ensure shipments are processed accurately, issues are communicated promptly, and customer requirements are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the supply chain. This position is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining transportation schedules, managing documentation, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to optimize logistics performance and service quality.

Shipping & Receiving Coordination

· Schedule, coordinate, and monitor daily shipments (domestic and international).

· Ensure accuracy and compliance with all shipping documentation including BOLs, packing lists, customs documents, and certificates of analysis.

· Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse staff to ensure on-time delivery and efficient material flow.

Inventory & Order Management

· Track incoming materials and outgoing finished goods to maintain accurate inventory levels.

· Work with Production Planning, Customer Service, and Purchasing to align logistics activities with customer orders and production schedules.

· Support physical inventory counts and cycle counting processes.

Carrier & Vendor Communication

· Communicate with carriers to arrange transportation and resolve delivery issues, delays, or damages.

· Evaluate freight performance, negotiate rates when appropriate, and ensure adherence to company standards and service agreements.

Documentation & Compliance

· Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight costs, and inventory transactions.

· Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and international shipping regulations (where applicable).

· Support audits and provide logistics-related documentation as required.

Continuous Improvement

· Identify and implement process improvements to streamline logistics workflows, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse layout, shipping practices, and ERP utilization.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

· 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse coordination within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

· Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and shipping software required.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

· Working knowledge of freight logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements: 

· Ability to sit, stand, and move within a warehouse or office setting.

· Occasionally lift to 25 lbs.

· Work performed in both office and warehouse environments, requiring coordination with production and shipping personnel.

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

Compensation details: 22-26 Hourly Wage
