Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support student success and well-being in an impactful school-based role providing social work services for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for a credentialed School Social Worker who thrives in diverse K-5 environments and values meaningful relationships with students, families, and educational teams.

Your expertise will be put to use across three distinct buildings, focusing on elementary and middle school students as well as a nonpublic school population. Expect a moderate and manageable caseload (43-48 students) with the support of a collaborative and welcoming school community.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Michigan Department of Education approval as a School Social Worker
• Experience working within school settings, particularly with Grades K-5 and 3-5
• Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning and interventions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, faculty, and families
• Ability to adapt services for diverse backgrounds and settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students, individually and in groups
• Partner with teachers, counselors, and administrators to implement support plans
• Help identify barriers to student learning and design targeted interventions
• Serve as a bridge between families and school resources, offering guidance and advocacy
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant regulations
