Job Summary:

The Quality Technician will be responsible for monitoring the quality of our plastics extrusions. This role involves conducting inspections, testing materials, and collaborating with production teams to maintain compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Inspections

1. Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.

2. Testing Procedures Perform various tests on extruded products, including dimensional checks, mechanical property tests, and visual inspections.

3. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality reports, and ensure proper documentation of any non-conformances.

4. Collaboration: Work closely with production staff to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

5. Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

6. Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in accordance with ISO and other relevant regulations.

7. Training: Assist in training production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in quality control or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the plastics or manufacturing industry.

- Knowledge of plastics extrusion processes and quality control methodologies.

- Familiarity with measurement tools and testing equipment (e.g., calipers, gauges, hardness testers).

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
