Compensation: Pay Range: $135,000-$150,000 Per Year
Description:
Join our team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in endocrinology. This full-time position is based in the Bronx, NY, and focuses on outpatient care with potential inpatient consultations. Responsibilities include managing endocrine disorders and utilizing general medical technology.
Requirements:
Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams for endocrine conditions. Evaluate and manage patients with various metabolic diseases. Adjust and initiate medications under collaborative protocols. Interpret diagnostic tests relevant to endocrine pathology. Provide patient education on disease processes and self-management techniques. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care. Document clinical findings and treatment plans in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master's degree, or Master's/Doctorate in Nursing. Active state license and board certification as a PA or NP. DEA license and state prescriptive authority. BLS certification (ACLS preferred). 12 years of experience in endocrinology or internal medicine preferred. Experience with diabetes management technology is highly desirable.
