Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide high-quality grooming services to pets of all breeds and sizes. As a Dog Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and appearance of our furry clients while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair cut, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, pet behavior, and any concerns observed during grooming sessions.
- Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as requested by clients.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
- Assist in managing appointments and maintaining accurate records of services provided.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both pets and their owners.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dog grooming with minimum 1 year working experience
- Knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming techniques, and pet care practices is essential.
- Experience in kennel management or as a veterinary technician is a plus.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when managing larger breeds or equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent care is crucial for success in this position.
