Aftermarket Spares Customer Support Specialist

By midday, you’ve entered precise sales orders in Microsoft Axapta ERP, confirmed lead times with European suppliers, and reassured a customer that their rush shipment is on track. In the afternoon, you’ve authorized a return, clarified a parts feature based on your machinery know-how, and wrapped up by documenting updates—ready to take a turn on rotating after-hours support when scheduled.

Role Snapshot

• Field daily calls and emails from internal and external customers regarding spare parts.
• Own complex, sensitive inquiries—research issues and resolve them promptly, typically within one business day.
• Create and process sales orders accurately in the Microsoft Axapta ERP system.
• Coordinate with European suppliers; relay any status changes that affect promised or requested delivery dates.
• Explain part functionality and usage drawing on practical knowledge of machinery and equipment.
• Issue return authorizations and conduct timely follow-up to close the loop.
• Support additional part-sales activities as assigned by the department manager.
• Participate in a weekly rotating schedule for after-hours phone support.

Location, Schedule & Pay

• Location: Arlington Heights, IL
• Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $20 – $24

What You Bring

• Manufacturing background with the ability to interpret mechanical or electrical drawings.
• High School Diploma or GED required; some related college coursework is a plus.
• 5+ years in customer service or a closely related function, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Above-average computer proficiency (Word, Excel, and related tools).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; calm and professional under pressure.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of basic machine operations.

Preferred

• Microsoft Axapta ERP experience
• Bilingual Spanish

Physical Requirements

• Sitting frequently; occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands/arms.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
