Setting: 221-Bed Acute Care Hospital | Level II Trauma Center
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Days or Nights | Rotating Weekends
Unit: 27-Bed Cardiac/Neuro Med-Tele

Position Summary:
Join a 27-bed Cardiac Neuro Tele unit caring for Med-Tele, Neuro, and Cardiac patients, including post-CABG, MI, and chest pain cases. This role focuses on safe, high-quality nursing care, patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring, and patient education. The team places a strong emphasis on patient safety and satisfaction.

Position Overview:

• Perform comprehensive assessments, nursing diagnoses, care planning, interventions, and evaluations.
• Care for cardiac, neuro, Med-Tele, post-CABG, MI, and chest-pain patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to providers.
• Provide patient/family education and health counseling.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote patient safety.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of recent acute-care Med-Surg/Tele RN experience within the last 1–2 years required.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.
• Compact license holders must obtain a Florida RN license within 60 days after relocation.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS.
• NIHSS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to work rotating weekends.
• Night Differential: +$4.50/hr
• Weekend Differential: +$1.50/hr

Sign-On Bonus:
Case by case; not guaranteed.

Relocation:
Case by case.

Candidate Fit:
Best suited for an RN with recent acute-care Med-Surg/Telemetry experience and exposure to cardiac or neuro patients.
