Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients to restore function and mobility
- Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care
- Document services accurately and in a timely manner
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs in line with practice acts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families for comprehensive patient care
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
- Active state Physical Therapist license or the ability to obtain one
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying facilities, schedules, and patient needs
Education
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT/MSPT/BSPT)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in physical therapy assessment and treatment
- Patient evaluation and development of individualized treatment plans
- Accurate and timely documentation
- Clear communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Ability to supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs effectively
