Master's Behavioral Health Co-Response Clinician

The Helen Ross McNabb Center, a leader in providing comprehensive behavioral health services in East Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated Master's Behavioral Health Co-Response Clinician to join our team. This position will focus on collaborating with law enforcement and other first responders to offer immediate, onsite psychological assessment and intervention during crisis situations. The clinician will work towards integrating community-based mental health services with traditional emergency responses, ensuring a compassionate, effective approach to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This role requires a deep understanding of mental health disorders, crisis intervention techniques, strong assessment skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. Responsibilities Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency service teams to provide psychological support and crisis intervention. Conduct onsite mental health assessments during emergencies, developing immediate care plans. Coordinate with healthcare providers and community agencies to facilitate long-term support and services for clients. Educate emergency response teams on mental health conditions and effective communication strategies. Participate in continuous training with first responders to enhance integrated response effectiveness. Maintain comprehensive documentation of interventions and outcomes in accordance with legal and professional standards. Qualifications Advanced knowledge of psychological diagnostics and clinical assessment. Proven ability to manage crises and make decisions under pressure. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with diverse entities including law enforcement and healthcare professionals. Strong understanding of patient rights and confidentiality laws. Medical Insurance. Required to be licensed or license-eligible as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
