Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape and refer customers to appropriate resources within GSK guidelines Maintain knowledge of severe asthma therapeutic expertise and changing data Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales Develop and implement customer-specific strategies across account stakeholders Build and maintain relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, and other GSK functions Manage allocated financial resources Respond to customer requests, inquiries, and needs Travel regularly to customer sites across the assigned northeastern Connecticut territory Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2+ years of business-to-business sales experience Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including possible overnight and/or weekend travel Must live in the geography; no relocation assistance Valid Driver’s License Experience selling into primary care, specialty clinics, or hospital systems preferred Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills preferred Ability to identify unique sales opportunities and perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities preferred Teamwork and leadership skills preferred Strong business planning skills and ability to multi-task preferred Respiratory product experience preferred but not necessary Familiarity with managed care plans, insurance formularies, and retail pharmacies preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in pharmaceutical sales with a focus on customer engagement and relationship building, while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
