Legal Billing Specialist

Responsibilities Kforce's client, a prestigious law firm in Parsippany, NJ, seeks a Legal E-Billing Specialist. This position within the accounting department will be reporting to the Assistant Controller. The role will be 4 days in the office & 1 day remote. This firm offers excellent benefits including a 401k plan. Handle all aspects of billing procedures for assigned attorneys, including but not limited to preparing transfers, write downs, write offs, time entry edits, address rate issues, respond to client inquiries, etc. Heavy electronic billing, including setups, submissions, accruals, appeals, and e‑billing collections and correspondence Modifying billing rates in the system, including setting up rate sets Prepare various billing reports Develop and maintain working relationships with billing attorneys, secretaries and management Work with the accounting team to achieve monthly and annual billing objectives Record all communications in the document management system (iManage) Requirements Bachelor's degree is a plus 5+ years of experience in law firm billing activities Experience using Elite's 3E and ehub software as well as Excel Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills; organized, detail‑oriented, work well alone and as a member of a team Able to multi‑task and work well in a fast‑paced environment The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion until paid and may be modified by discretion consistent with the law.
