Schedule: Full-Time | Varied Shifts (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM and 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM)

Guaranteed Hours per Week: 37.50

Pay Range: $80 to $85 hourly

Job Summary

Pride Health is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a contract opportunity in New York, NY. This role will support hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing while collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital pharmacy settings, medication dispensing systems, sterile processing, and IV room operations.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and established pharmacy protocols.

• Ensure accurate medication preparation, distribution, and documentation.

• Utilize pharmacy dispensing systems to support medication management and workflow efficiency.

• Participate in sterile compounding and IV room operations as needed.

• Monitor medication therapy for safety, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding medication-related issues.

• Maintain accurate patient medication records within electronic medical record systems.

• Adhere to hospital, state, and federal pharmacy regulations and standards.

• Support inventory management, medication storage, and quality assurance initiatives.

• Provide pharmaceutical expertise and consultation to clinical staff as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Pharmacy required.

• Active New York State Pharmacist License (NYSED) required.

• Minimum one (1) year of Pharmacist experience required.

• Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems.

• Knowledge of medication safety and pharmacy operations.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and overnight schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience.

• Sterile processing experience.

• IV room experience.

• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

• Experience working in a fast-paced acute care environment.
