Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students through virtual instruction as a Special Education professional. You'll collaborate with elementary, middle, and high school learners in an inclusive environment, delivering top-notch support via VOCO (virtual classroom) platforms. As part of this dynamic opportunity, you'll work 37.5 hours per week, dedicating your expertise to help each student thrive in their academic journey. Positions are available for four passionate educators, with start and end dates running from early August to late May.
Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama Special Education Certification (priority given to candidates with an AL license)
- Minimum of one year of teletherapy or virtual instruction experience
- Experience or comfort with virtual platforms (VOCO-ready)
- Comprehensive understanding of individualized education plans and inclusion strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction in inclusive settings for students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Adapt lesson plans and interventions for virtual delivery, ensuring access and progress for all learners
- Communicate effectively with families, classroom teachers, and staff to maximize student success
- Track progress and document outcomes for ongoing IEP meetings and compliance
- Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development as needed
