Work Environment

The work setting is an onsite rehabilitation center where collaboration and communication among healthcare professionals are key components of our patient care model. Here, you will work closely with physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and other healthcare staff to create a cohesive and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, movement patterns, and functional limitations to develop targeted treatment plans.
• Administer diverse therapeutic interventions, including strength training, manual therapy, and modality use, tailored to optimize each patient's mobility and function.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, ensuring a high level of individualized attention by dedicating one hour per patient visit.
• Document and monitor patient progress meticulously using electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to track treatment outcomes and adjust strategies as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise programs and wellness strategies designed to promote independence and encourage adherence to home care regimens.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and enhance overall treatment efficacy.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to share insights, best practices, and innovative treatment approaches.
• Provide motivational support and encouragement to patients to help them overcome challenges and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Master's degree (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• No disciplinary actions or history on the professional license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and designing exercise programs that cater to individual patient needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills vital for patient interaction and collaboration with peers.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in treating patients within orthopedic outpatient settings is strongly preferred.
• Experience using EMR software, especially WebPT, for patient documentation and treatment tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
