Seeking a Tax Accountant / Senior Income Tax Preparer to join a growing CPA firm and contribute to tax preparation and small business bookkeeping services.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Prepare tax returns with knowledge of applicable tax laws and tax return preparation.
Prepare business tax returns, including 1065 and 1120 filings.
Prepare and record year end journal entries.
Handle gross up payroll as part of the accounting and tax preparation process.
Review and match book balances to tax returns to ensure the books align with the tax return.
Perform small business bookkeeping services using QuickBooks Online.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience preparing tax returns.
2+ years of tax return preparation experience.
1 to 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
Knowledge of tax law and tax return preparation.
QuickBooks Online knowledge is required.
QuickBooks ProAdvisor experience is preferred.
Experience preparing 1065 and 1120 business tax returns.
Knowledge of Drake Tax Software is a plus.
