Creative Designer at Solomon Page – New York, NY We are hiring a Creative Designer to join a top media company in NYC. This freelance position will run for 6 months and will be in office on a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities Conceptualize, design, and develop captivating digital creative assets, including graphics, animations, video editing, and other multimedia content for our social media platforms (YouTube, PMAX, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit). Maintain extensive knowledge of new and emerging social media apps and software to ensure assets are consistently optimized per platform. Ensure that all visuals, messaging, and interactive elements are aligned with the creative vision and meet the brand standards of individual brands within our portfolio. Apply strategic thinking and design principles to deliver best‑in‑class designs that drive consumer business growth. Collaborate with the Creative Director, Senior Designers, Marketing Strategists, and Project Management team to leverage data and analytics, gaining insights into creative performance and providing recommendations for asset updates. Maintain regular communication with Project Management and colleagues, providing updates on project timelines and progress. Stay current with the competitive landscape, industry best practices, and emerging design and consumer revenue generation trends. Manage and organize raw media and finished assets, ensuring proper storage and backup for easy accessibility and retrieval for internal and external partners. Required Qualifications 4–6 years of proven experience as a designer focused on social media campaigns. Proficiency in graphic design software and tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects. Adept at motion graphics and animation, with an understanding of UX/UI design, basic HTML, and social media principles. Expertise in paid media creative guidelines and best practices across platforms, including Meta, TikTok, PMAX, YouTube, Pinterest, and Reddit. Experience in a consumer‑focused or revenue‑driven environment (marketing, advertising, or e‑commerce background) is preferred. Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of creative projects, high‑quality designs, and consumer engagement. Solid understanding of design principles such as typography, color theory, and UX design. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Detail‑oriented mindset. Organizational and time management skills. Proactive and adaptable attitude. Knowledge of ADA‑compliant design is desired.
