Key Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification required
• Experience working in substantially separate classroom settings preferred
• Strong commitment to inclusive educational practices
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
• Classroom management skills geared toward younger students

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and academic support for kindergarten students with diverse learning needs
• Adapt and implement curriculum materials in accordance with student IEPs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
• Work closely with classroom aides, therapists, and support staff to promote student success
• Maintain ongoing communication with families and multidisciplinary team members
• Track student progress, document educational outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
• Manage behavioral interventions and promote social-emotional development
