Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification required
• Previous experience in special education, particularly with elementary-aged students, highly valued
• Strong skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and IEP implementation
• Adaptability and creativity in supporting students’ individual learning needs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support services to a mixed group of 2nd and 3rd grade students
• Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitor progress, maintain effective records, and communicate consistently with caregivers and colleagues
• Create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment where all students feel supported
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
