About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; first timers accepted. License: State or Compact RN Licensure required at the time of submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required prior to start. Must-Have: Candidates must be prepared for a patient ratio of 1:2-3. Experience in care of ventilated patients and central line care/management is required. Travel experience is preferred. Description: The registered nurse will provide care in the ICU setting. The clinician will care for a diverse patient population that includes adults and geriatrics. General diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, and more. Travelers should be prepared for the possibility of taking a third patient. The unit has an average daily census of 19 patients. A variety of interdisciplinary support teams are available on the unit. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, the start may be pushed back by two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Holidays may require work depending on the assignment period. No time off requests will be approved during the orientation week. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. Compliance documents must be completed within stated timelines.
