Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

• Provide care for patients with hip, knee, shoulder, bariatric, and spinal surgeries
• Administer cardiac and insulin drips, manage chest tubes and wound vacs
• Monitor telemetry and provide complex clinical assessments
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and oversee discharge planning
• Engage in patient education, emphasizing renal and fluid management
• Utilize EMR: EPIC and operate unit-specific equipment, including Pyxis and Alaris

Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

• BLS required
• Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) and EKG competency required
• Minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
• ACLS preferred
• National certification in Medical-Surgical or Nephrology nursing preferred, but not required
