Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for a hospital-based opportunity in Lima, Ohio. This position provides adult cardiothoracic surgical care with a combination of rounding and 24-hour call coverage.
Position Highlights
24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
Coverage dates: 9/11 at 7:00 AM – 9/16 at 7:00 AM
10–14 days of call coverage per month needed
Weekend coverage required
Hospital-based rounding and call
Average 1 case per day
Level II Trauma Center
20 operating rooms
Adult patient population
EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage and inpatient rounding.
Respond to surgical consultations and emergencies while on call.
Perform and manage cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
Evaluate and manage pre- and post-operative patients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Provide appropriate follow-up and management of surgical patients.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship training required
Active Ohio medical license required
BLS and ACLS required
