Monday, Wednesday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m

The Human Resources (HR) Recruitment Specialist serves as a key liaison between Mercy House and prospective employees throughout the employee's life cycle: recruitment, orientation, and internal transitions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Candidate Sourcing Update and post job descriptions on various job boards and platforms to attract qualified candidates Maintain updated candidate applicant information on tracking systems and maintain accurate and up-to-date records Conduct phone screenings to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fit Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers Conduct reference and background checks and ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and regulations Participate in recruitment marketing initiatives to enhance the organization’s reputation as an employer of choice Attend job fairs quarterly Team Support Present company policies, procedures, and culture during new hire orientation sessions Assist in extending job offers and the onboarding process Updating new hire documents as necessary Miscellaneous Attend staff meetings and quarterly trainings Enhance job performance by applying up-to-date professional and technical knowledge gained by attending seminars and conferences and reviewing professional publications Take initiative; demonstrate strong decision-making and organizational skills Initiate best practices; develop efficiency improvements Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by your supervisor Requirements: Education and Experience Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and other HR-related software General Reliable transportation required A flexible work schedule including some schedule changes, some weekends, and evening shifts to meet the department’s needs Detail-oriented and computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel required Knowledge of recruitment best practices, including sourcing strategies, candidate selection, and employment legislation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Physical Requirements Answer and respond to phone queries Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
