Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor (MS) specialty position is located in HILO, Hawaii. This role involves working on a medical-surgical unit providing comprehensive patient care. The assignment requires flexibility in shift length and schedule, with work hours rotating to meet the unit's needs. The position is suitable for qualified healthcare professionals prepared to work in a dynamic critical care environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift hours, with 12-hour shifts scheduled for a 36-hour workweek following initial orientation.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii state license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; 2-10 years of nursing experience; ability to arrive by 08/22/2026; proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption prior to contract start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Additional Information: Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health appointment on the following Friday. No guarantee of hours or shift preference. May float to Laulima Unit or Cardiovascular Unit. Orientation time will be provided for each unit.
• Responsibilities: Provide patient care on the Medical-Surgical Floor utilizing Meditech electronic medical records; operate equipment such as pyxis, wound vacs, chest tubes; perform procedures relevant to the specialty.
