Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a high-growth startup in Fremont, CA to hire a Staff Accountant on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, expanding organization where your work will have immediate impact. You will work alongside a supportive leadership team and be mentored by a Controller and Senior Accountant who are invested in your growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Support audit requests and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Prepare financial reports and assist with ad hoc analysis
• Partner cross-functionally to improve processes and reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2+ years of accounting experience required
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Strong understanding of general ledger and month-end close
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
