Administrative Specialist Senior

Position Overview The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board develops and enforces reasonable administrative regulations related to the sale and use of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, nicotine, and vapor products. The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control includes several divisions: the Commissioner's office; the Division of Tobacco, Nicotine, and Vaper Products; the Distilled Spirits and Malt Beverage divisions; an Administrative Services Branch; a Legal Division; and an Enforcement Division. We are looking for an Administrative Specialist Senior to provide high‑level professional administrative support to internal staff and leadership. Responsibilities Process license applications on a statewide basis and provide review, payment entry, and data entry for distilled spirits, malt beverages, tobacco, vapes, or nicotine license applications and renewals. Respond to inquiries from department staff and the public regarding license applications and general processes; provide support and communicate license information such as status, payment, and deficiencies. Communicate general processes and procedures for completing an application to staff and applicants. Process appropriate payments for licensing fees, refunds, and other routine processes into the statewide database; prepare routine reports and data analysis for management. Cross‑train in all areas of licensing processes. Complete any special project or assignment as directed by management. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience, training, or skills: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience. Substitute education for experience: Additional education substitutes for required experience on a year‑for‑year basis. Substitute experience for education: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience substitutes for required education on a year‑for‑year basis. Special requirements: None.
