In this role, you won’t just reconcile accounts — you’ll help shape decisions. You’ll bring precision, insight, and innovation to our accounting processes, ensuring our books are balanced, our reporting is reliable, and our strategies are built on a rock‑solid foundation. Responsibilities Lead month‑end and year‑end closings with accuracy and efficiency. Prepare detailed financial statements and variance analyses that inform strategic decisions. Reconcile accounts, monitor controls, and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Support budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting with actionable insights. Work closely with the Controller and other departments to support financial goals. Mentor junior staff and help strengthen the team’s capabilities. Support automation and system enhancements that make our processes smarter and faster. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and boost efficiency. Contribute to audits, tax reporting, and internal controls that keep us compliant and confident. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 3–5+ years of accounting experience (financial institution or credit union experience is a plus). Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
