Senior Accountant

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant located outside of the Hartford area- this can be someone at a staff level with a strong grasp on their debits and credits looking to step up or someone who knows the ins and outs of accounting looking to make a change. Unlimited PTO included in other great benefits.



Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly close activities including journal entries and accruals
• Preparation of various balance sheet reconciliations - follow up when needed
• Preparation of GL and bank reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements
• Create and maintain standard operating procedure documentation for all applicable processes.
• Perform all other related duties and/or projects assigned to meet the needs of the company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3 years accounting experience
• Excellent computer skills, advanced proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office
• Exceptional technical skills with attention to detail and ability to drive process improvements
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, be a self-starter, and effectively interface at all levels of the organization.
