What You’ll Do Day-To-Day Produce moderately complex to highly complex conventional machined components/tooling to precision tolerances. Inspect work of other machinists as directed by supervisor. Train and assist lower classification machinists as directed by supervisor. Comply with all plant work rules, regulations and specific instructions, maintain required records, logs and documentation. Identify and elevate operations problems to the area foreman with objective options for resolution. Produce complex conventional machined components/tooling to extreme precision tolerances. Handle hazardous materials properly. What You'll Bring High School diploma or equivalent education. Minimum of 4 years of related experience. Two-year machining technology certificate and completion of four-year apprenticeship is preferred. Possess mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of commonly use concepts, practices and procedures. Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow written and verbal direction. Ability to properly plan, perform calculations, layout and select efficient cutting parameters for conventional machining of components/tooling. Ability to use and interpret basis shop inspection tools and manually record data. Good problem identification and problem resolution skills. Knowledge of conventional and CNC machine tool operations including application and programming. Total Rewards Package Total Rewards Package Salary: $30.90 - $40.50 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
