Step into a rewarding full-time opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting a dedicated group of 3rd and 4th-grade students in a specialized instructional classroom setting. This contract role begins on August 26, 2026, and continues through June 3, 2027, giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the entire academic year.
Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working 37.5 hours per week with daily hours from 8:40 AM to 3:25 PM. You'll have a manageable caseload of just five students, allowing you to deliver focused, individualized instruction within a supportive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois teaching licensure and certification specific to Special Education
- Prior school-based experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Ability to excel in a collaborative classroom setting with a small group of students
- Strong communication skills and dedication to student growth
- Willingness to participate in a 30-minute interview process
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student's unique learning needs
- Develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom staff, related service providers, and parents
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed
- Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
