Accountant

Staff Accountant Our client, a well-established and financially strong organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience in a collaborative environment while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and financial reporting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies within the accounting function. Key Responsibilities Prepare and record journal entries across various areas including cash, accruals, intercompany transactions, financing activities, interest expense, taxes, and other general ledger accounts. Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances. Analyze balance sheet accounts, prepare supporting schedules, and recommend adjustments. Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Support treasury and cash management functions. Assist with special projects, audits, and ad‑hoc reporting requests as needed. Partner with accounting leadership to support ongoing business and departmental objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 2+ years of progressive accounting experience. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA licensure. Strong experience working with ERP systems. Desire to learn and grow. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Self‑motivated professional capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
