Accountant

Family‑oriented and team‑focused culture Stable and growing organization with an excellent reputation High visibility across accounting and operations Opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment Responsibilities Manage daily accounting activities including AP/AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and journal entries Prepare monthly and year‑end financial reports and support audit and tax processes Perform account reconciliations including intercompany and inventory accounts Maintain fixed assets and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping Prepare and file sales tax, fuel tax, and highway use tax reports Support month‑end and year‑end close processes Assist with financial analysis, reporting, and ad‑hoc projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred 3–5 years of general accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Great Plains, QuickBooks, JDE, or Sage Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Construction industry experience is a plus Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
