Full Time RnInland Imaging in Spokane, WA "near nature near perfect" is recruiting for a Full Time RN Monday-Friday day shift. No weekends, or call. We are a family oriented, employee focused company founded in 1930.Acute Care Experience Required. Sign On Bonus Available For Experienced Nurses!!The Registered Nurse must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment in meeting continual deadlines; handle multiple priorities with constant interruptions; be highly organized to meet deadlines. Interacts with physicians, other departments within Inland Imaging, patients and family members and outside contacts. Excellent written, verbal, and personal communication skills; be tactful and diplomatic; and be highly confidential. Makes decisions regarding daily work priorities and other decisions based on company policies and procedures.Essential Duties / Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assesses patient needs by phone and in person for appropriateness of procedure/exam and/or sedation by:Obtaining medical history and prior sedation reaction historyCurrent physical condition and review of physiological systemsProvides accurate explanation of procedure/exam, pre-procedure/pre-exam instructions, answers questions & addresses concerns of patient and familyAdapts assessment, patient care, treatment plan and education to age specific requirementsMonitors patient during procedure for level of sedation, adverse reactions and responds to changes in patient statusPerforms parenteral procedures i.e., contrast injections, IV starts and venipuncture for lab specimensCollaborates with technologists as needed during examsMaintains controlled substances security and all medication used at Inland Imaging centers:Maintains adequate supply levelsRestocks daily and regularly monitors expiration dates on medicationsMaintains the security, adequate and accurate records of all controlled substances and other medications according to DEA and WA State, DOH regulations and including Joint Commission standards when necessary.Maintains security of narcotic keys and locked drug boxesDocuments and appropriately charges patients for medications and suppliesFollows current Washington State Nurse Practice Act for the administration of medications and IV solutionsProficient in tracking of patient data in Medicalis and EPICPerforms essential duties of job within MRI safety zone and adheres to MRI Safety ComplianceAdministers TB tests and flu shots, and reads TB results for employees and RadiologistsResponds to emergency situationsFirst responder for code situationFirst responder for all contrast reactionsPractices principles of radiation safety, consistently maintains personal radiation badge, reviews quarterly radiation exposure report and practices MRI safety.This position may be required to work with hospital in patients, hospital ED patients and patients transferred from different clinical facilities that may have high acuity levels.Performs other duties as assignedGeneral Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to maintain strict confidentiality within the Inland Imaging companies and Inland's customers.Follows all Health and Safety policies and guidelines of Inland Imaging or its partners depending on work location.Follows all company policies including those regarding harassment, non-retaliation, discrimination, respectful workplace, and related policies.Follows all policies regarding HIPAA, non-disclosure of confidential information and company security.Honest, pleasant manner and good personal hygiene.Free of alcohol and drug abuse.Valid state driver's license and proof of insurance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail oriented; ability to multi-task; organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrates self-directed learning and participation in continuing education through professional journals, approved seminars, etc.Ability to consider individual needs in communication with and assessment and treatment of patients of all ages.Adheres to departmental standards and personnel policies by demonstrating professional demeanor in conduct and appearance.Follows company departmental standards and personnel policies by using good teamwork and communication skills to help identify concerns and solutions, assisting where needed to ensure a smooth functioning department.Performs other duties as required by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting and performing other projects and responsibilities, and requesting other projects and responsibilities.Quarterly quality assurance meeting attendance is required for this position.Attendance is a requirement for this position.Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities:There is no supervisory responsibility in this positionAdvocacy:Treats all patients with dignity and respect Provides excellent customer service Conforms to Joint Commission and HIPAA regulations Complies with PHI (Protected Health Information) Follows OSHA and WISHA regulation and WA state DOH regulations. Demonstrates the Inland Imaging Core ValuesShow We Care, Do The Right Thing, Maximize Individual Potential, Always Aim HigherQualifications:Education:AA Degree requiredAccredited Nursing Program requiredExperience:One year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse requiredMinimum of two to three IV starts per day in previous position(s) preferredPost anesthesia patient care experience – preferredExcellent patient assessment skillsExperience in conscious sedation / moderate sedation competencyInterventional radiology experience – preferredAnatomy and medical terminologyMedical office experience. - preferredUnderstanding of procedures to be read by radiologist preferred.Licensure: Must maintain current Washington State RN licensureMust not have an active judgment against state nursing license or an active enforcement action again nursing license.
