A highly respected, non-profit research institution, that is seeking a talented Major Gifts Officer to join their team in Washington, DC. Given your impressive background in development and relationship-building. Our client operates in the non-profit research space and is looking for a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser who can authentically connect donor passions with the organization's vital mission.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management: Manage and grow a national portfolio of 75-100 high-potential prospects (individuals, foundations, and corporations), focusing on securing gifts of $25,000 or more.
• Donor Engagement: Drive the full gift cycle by maintaining a high-touch outreach strategy, aiming for roughly 150 donor touches (mix of virtual, in-person, and substantive outreach) and 30+ solicitations annually.
• Collaborative Strategy: Partner directly with the organization's interim leadership and key executive stakeholders to build tailored cultivation plans and align donor interests with key organizational initiatives.
• Systems & Tools: Maintain accurate records and track donor movement using the organization's internal tools, including DonorPerfect and Asana (training is readily available if you have strong foundational tech/Microsoft Office skills).
