Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their growth and daily classroom experience. We are seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals for 10 full-time contract positions for the upcoming school year. These roles begin in August and extend through the entire academic year, with opportunities to participate in Extended School Year (ESY) programs and the potential for renewal upon a strong fit.
Positions are available for elementary and secondary school students who may have emotional, behavioral, communication, and cognitive needs. We are also looking for a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) with a medical background to provide individualized student support.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or classroom aide preferred
- Experience supporting students with emotional, behavioral, communication, or cognitive challenges
- Ability to work 1:1 with students in a school environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to assist students
- PCA applicants: experience providing basic medical assistance is essential
Responsibilities:
- Offer direct 1:1 and small-group support to designated students
- Assist teachers in implementing instructional and behavioral support plans
- Monitor student progress and modify support as directed by educational staff
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe learning atmosphere
- Support students with activities of daily living and self-regulation strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure continuity of care
