About the Position

The unit has 36 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. There are two unit secretaries available daily. Patient care techs are utilized based on census needs. Telemetry equipment is available in each room with monitors in the stations. Vital signs are recorded using Dynamaps, and glucometers are also available. Documentation is managed through a Meditech system. Nurses are required to work every other weekend and on holidays. All nurses may float to other units as needed. Hourly rounding and bedside shift report are expected. The unit has a focus on AIDET principles for patient experience. The facility is certified as a Pathways to Excellence and a Certified Stroke Center. It also holds recognition as a Certified Chest Pain Center and a Level II Trauma Center. A strong nursing background and thorough assessment skills are essential. Attention to detail and condition changes is crucial in this role. The unit is recognized for high employee engagement and quality measures. There is an emphasis on advanced technology, including iMobile devices and Dynamaps. Scheduling flexibility is offered within established guidelines. This is an opportunity to work with highly experienced staff.
