Clinical Psychologist

Position Summary:The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for administering psychological or neuropsychological assessments in one of our two Diagnostics Centers (Carol Stream, IL and Orland Park, IL). Additional responsibilities include case management services and providing referrals for recommended therapies. If interested, candidates can also carry a therapy caseload of individual and/or family therapy. With therapy clients, the Clinical Psychologist regularly monitors progress to ensure that their needs are met by the course of action, and to adjust it if necessary.Essential Functions:Identify psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders, using information obtained from interviews, tests, questionnaires, and recordsConduct thorough intake and feedback sessions with clients and their familiesAssess for a range of referral concerns, including autism, ADHD, developmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and conduct-related conditionsWrite comprehensive reports based on test data and observations and provide feedback within a timely mannerCollaborate with other psychologists and providers regarding case conceptualizationCase management, when appropriate, including providing resources to schools, and communication with schools and/or medical professionalsMaintain 10 -12 evaluations per monthRequired Education, Experience and Credentials:Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA accredited programInternship training and post-doctoral training in psychological assessment and psychotherapeutic treatment with childrenCurrent Illinois Registration/licensure in Clinical Psychology or license-eligibleExperience conducting pediatric psychological/neuropsychological evaluationsCPR Certification required within 90 days of hireKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Formal training and proficiency administering the ADOS-2, preferredPreference working with young children (ages 2+)Passion for working with children with developmental delaysPersonal Attributes:Excellent oral, listening, communication and self-awareness skillsComfortable persona to better develop relationships with children and their familiesDevelopment Mindset with a passion for continuous learning and educationAutonomy with the ability to work independentlyWork Environment and Physical Demands:Able to provide training in, and implement, de-escalation skills for clientsAbility to lift or carry 30 lbsAbility to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapyTravel RequirementsSome travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs.This is a full-time position.
