Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This is a critical care environment where you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adults and geriatrics with complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, and multi-organ failure.
• Provide care for patients undergoing pre-vad workups, alcohol withdrawal, and overdose management.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment including CRRT, IABP, ECMO, and Impella.
• Conduct assessment and monitoring of vital signs, lab results, and treatment efficacy.
• Administer medications including IV cardiac and vasoactive drips and perform arterial line management.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC charting system.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.

Schedule

This position is a night shift, 4x12-hour schedule, from 19:00 to 07:00, with weekend requirements of every other weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York RN license required in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or similar setting.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia management and multi-system organ failure care.
